Update: It is now Saturday morning, and the packages Kristina promised to personally deliver are not at my house. Obviously, the customer service at this UPS store is incredibly lacking, and if there was any other option to use with my Amazon purchases, 8 would choose it in a heartbeat. I can't believe I'm made to wait for my packages for an extra week, when I have clearly paid for expedited shipping, as the label on my packages says.
UPS in Gillette has made themselves very customer-unfriendly due to losing the national contract to FedEx with Office Depot where you could drop off UPS packages anytime during store hours. I thought they would either contract with some other store in Gillette for customer convenience or increase their own business hours. Nope! At their remote out-of-the-way depot location on Hwy 50 they have retained their 3:30-5:30 pm hours. Really? Customer service and focus has gone out the window. I now predominantly use FedEx and USPS due to these reasons.
After communicating with the person in charge, we came to an understanding on the delivery of our business' packages and now have things under control.
This time, when I called, I spoke with a very kind lady at corporate who did everything she could to ensure that I would get my packages and that this issue would no longer happen. She had to call and leave a message for the center here in town, and when I received the follow up call from the office in town, Kristina was incredibly rude, telling me she would make sure the packages got delivered to my "hut" next Monday when our regular driver was supposedly back. I asked her what point it did for me to pay for expedited shipping, if they couldn't guarantee that my packages would arrive when the shipping information I received claimed they would. I told her that I needed my packages on Wednesday when they were supposed to be delivered (it is now Friday), and she told me she would personally deliver them out to my "hut" but that she wouldn't be off until 11:30-Midnight. I told her that was fine, and to leave them by the locked gate, as the note on my address says. To which she promptly hung up.
This UPS center is a joke. I have, on two different occasions with 2 packages each time, not had my packages delivered to my house. When I call to see why, it's because my dogs (in a fenced yard, behind a locked gate) are out. I've asked them to please leave the packages at the end of the driveway at said locked gate, and yet, somehow the packages get held at the office for a week. I'm always told that I can come get the packages if I need them that badly, but I work full time and I am not off work before they close.
Only certain times to drop off packages !! For a town this size that is not acceptable ! Logistics my ass
I would give -5 stars if that were possible. We had a bad snow storm on 12/15/16, so I arranged to have the packages held at the UPS location out of consideration for the drivers. A message was left on my phone confirming that they were there, and that I could come and pick them up in between the hours the of 2 pm and 6 pm. Now the UPS location is a bit of a drive across town, so I hustled. I pulled into the location, and the lights were still on, and a customer was still in the service area. I ran to the catch the door, and I am not kidding, the person inside flicked out the lights and locked the door. The other customer hadn't even made it to their car yet. Way to go UPS. If I ever did that any of the customers that come to my business, you would bet I wouldn't have a job.
The customer service is lacking and I have yet to figure out why they can't leave my packages at the end of my driveway, as they have done for the last 3 years. This has only been a problem in the last 2 months.
